Comparison of Patient Outcomes Before and After the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program at Tertiary Care Hospital

Objective : To assess the outcomes in managing patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) requiring vascular access before and after, a formal surgery fellowship program (VSFP) was introduced tertiary care hospital Punjab.
 Study Design Pilot quasi-experimental study.
 Place Duration of Study: Department Vascular Surgery Nephrology at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) ,Lahore Pakistan, from Feb to Oct 2020.
 Methodology: Patients meeting inclusion criteria ages between 20 70 years, either gender undergoing dialysis due renal failure were recruited study. Data collected initial phase when VSFP absent later it present. Outcome variables current access, waiting time for permanent rate about duration failure.
 Results: A total 226 In both pre-vascular (pre-VSFPT) post-vascular (post-VSFPT), predominant functional interview arterio-venous fistula (AVF). However, they much higher post-VSFPT, i.e., 46(54.1%) as compared 96 (68.1%) (p= 0.069). addition, pre-VSFPT, 24 (28.2%) had “Never Created” AVF status 21(14.9%) which statistically significant.
 Conclusion: The establishment not only benefits trainee but improves patient significantly. This study highlights improvement all benchmarks formation
